The Energy Saving Co-operative

Another post on energy – this time on saving rather than generating it.

On 14th August Phil Beardmore, a Localise West Midlands colleague and co-operator, sent a message about his meeting with The Energy Saving Co-op, which is planning to set up in Birmingham this year.

He writes: “They are aiming to deliver a co-operative Green Deal in Birmingham and elsewhere.”

Today, John Boyle, Member Relations Officer for the Midlands Co-operative Society sent an invitation which I have scanned rather askew:

John adds:

“The good news is that we are 7 minutes walk from New Street Railway Station, only 5 from Snow Hill station, and if you do come by car, parking is free after 6.00pm.”

Though the invitation is for Midlanders, co-operators in other areas will be interested in the information and perhaps inspired to encourage an initiative in their area.
